Beyond Close

A waterfront is a negotiation between being here or there.
A continuous line between fluid and ground.
An instant point of embarkment and arrival.
An environment that without proper vessel one is indelibly close but just beyond.

Moments of Resistance

Most of the time we think of rivers as moments of flow.  A better conception would be to think of rivers as moments of resistance.
